George Zlotnick
Founder
George founded Zlotnick Construction after returning from combat in World War II. He has stayed an integral part of the company, even asking to operate equipment, right up until his passing in 2019. While he is greatly missed by his family and friends, George’s legacy continues through the hard work of his son and grandsons.
Gregory G. Zlotnick
President & CEO
B.S. Civil Engineering, 1972, University of Connecticut
Greg has worked with the company since he was a child. He has over 55 years experience in the industry and oversees all operations of the company. In his time as President and CEO he has steadily grown and led the company to be one of the most respected contractors in the region.
Greg enjoys spending time with his family, telling jokes, cooking, golfing, and fine tequila.
Peter G. Zlotnick

Peter began with the company as a laborer and has transitioned to his current position overseeing administrative aspects of the company, including accounting, estimating, marketing, and operations.
He also proudly serves in the CT Air National Guard, flying the C-130 Hercules.
Peter enjoys spending time with his wife Karyn and their 95 lb. puppy Leo, his family and friends, golfing, traveling and anything aeronautical.

Gregory has been operating equipment since he was a young boy, and as such, appropriately leads the company’s sitework division. He has steadily grown the company’s inventory of equipment, sitework related revenues, and has implemented state-of-the-art heavy/civil GPS and estimating technologies.
Gregory enjoys spending time with his Australian Shepard Annie, who frequently joins him onsite, his family and friends, fishing and golfing.
Joseph R. Ruiz
Vice President of Operations

With nearly 40 years of experience in commercial and retail construction, office tenant fit-outs, building remodels, and the residential construction sector as well, Joe brings a wealth of experience in employee management, construction management, and general contracting.
Joe started his career with Zlotnick Construction, Inc. in 2004 as the company’s sole estimator, and over the past several years as Chief Estimator and now as Vice President of Operations. Smart, honest, and hard-working, Joe's leadership style and flexibility align with our company values and make him a perfect fit with the Zlotnick team.
In Joe's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling and automobiles.
Thomas Pereira
Chief Estimator

Growing up sweeping floors in his family's construction company, Tom has been involved in construction since a young age. With years of hands-on experience, combined with his formal education, Tom has a deep understanding of the construction process, allowing him to deliver our clients accurate cost estimates. With his diverse background, Tom brings a unique perspective to construction projects, approaching each job with creativity, precision, and a commitment to excellence.
Outside of construction, Tom has a range of hobbies and interests. He is an avid cook, musician, and martial artist.
Lisa Fassbender
Accounting Administrator
Lisa has worked in nearly all departments of the company. Currently she manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Lisa enjoys visiting her family, camping and vacationing in North Carolina.
Luana Stanulonis
Project Manager

Luana's fascination with construction began at the age of 9 when her parents added a second-story addition to their family home. After school, she eagerly observed the tradesmen at work, often doing her homework perched on a joint compound bucket. This early exposure sparked her interest in architecture, which she pursued in high school, expanding into estimating and project management.
With nearly 40 years of experience in architectural design/drafting, design-build self-performing General Contracting, and construction finance, Luana brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge and expertise to the Zlotnick team. She has a special focus on metal building systems construction. Intelligent, personable, and hard-working, Luana is truly passionate about the construction industry.
Outside of work, Luana is dedicated to giving back to the community. She has volunteered as a TTAC collaborator to the Connecticut Technical High School System for many years. A proud alumna of Windham Tech, Luana encourages all youth to consider a career in the architecture/engineering/construction trades.
In her spare time, Luana enjoys traveling with her husband Andy to their home away from home in Aruba. She cherishes moments spent with her family and friends and loves nothing more than snuggling with her beloved Labrador retrievers.
Shannon Baier
Administrative Assistant
In her role as Administrative Assistant, Shannon works directly with the department heads providing the support necessary to keep the estimating, project management, and accounting departments operating smoothly. Shannon’s dependability, attention to detail and forward-thinking mindset have been invaluable to our team.
Shannon is a dedicated wife and mother, and enjoys her frequent visits to the Cape.
